Micheal Moore Film, Fahrenheit 9/11:

Micheal Moore is a talented director but he likes to put words in peoples mouth and make false claims. When President Bush gets informed on the first tower being hit his face is in awe. Moore puts a timer on the screen and sees how long it takes Bush to react to the news. I do think it's weird how he sits there and continues to stay with the kids. I would personally excuse myself and say that there is a problem and that I have to address it. Although the way Moore depicts it, he makes it see as if Bush just kept playing cards with his buddies and drinking beer, even though you can obviously tell that Bush's wheels are turning in his head and is wondering what happened and why? The movie or short film does make you wonder about if Bush had prior knowledge about the attacks and other things, but overall I think Moore could have portrayed it better.
I agree with Katz that men are not entirely biologically more aggressive.  I agree that most of men being aggressive is obtained in the environment men are raised in. Men are taught to not show fear or pain and not be a chicken because that's just what men are supposed to be like.  If a man is anything else it is considered weird or wimpy just like the author said.  its no coincidence that men are the shooters in these shootings because men are taught to be more aggressive.  if men were not raised in these environments men would not be like this because we are not biologically wired to be this aggressive.

How Much Do Stereotypes Really Matter

Definition: A stereotype is “...a fixed, over generalized belief about a particular group or class of people.” (Cardwell, 1996). Hey guys I just wanted to pose a question. about how much do you think stereotypes affect us in our everyday lives? In my opinion stereotypes for the most part don't affect me in my everyday life that much. I've always been one to say to break the mold or if someone try's to judge me based on other peoples actions I usually disregard them them. Many times it seems that we usually joke about stereotypes more than we actually use them to intend harm. Watermelon, Fried chicken,Kool-Aid, Rap music etc. has never hurt me or made me less of a hard worker, deep thinker or honest person. I guess I usually choose to focus on me being a better person rather than focus on someone's preconcived opinion that they have because of there past experiences with someone like me. Onward&Upward

I thought the Micheal Moore film was extremely bias for a ton of reasons.  First of all there are several points in the movie where Michael Moore goes back to 2 seconds of George Bush staring into space and he puts his own words into president Bush's head.  There were no signs about what he was thinking about so I don't understand how he can make all these claims about what he is thinking about.  Second, he brings up a bunch videos, articles, etc. involving Saudi Arabians, 9/11, and George Bush and immediately jumps to the conclusion that Bush and Saudi's planned 9/11 together so thy they could profit from it.  I don't think the President of the United States of America would make a plan to kill 3,000 of his own citizens when in fact he doesn't even need the money because he was already rich when he came into office.  This whole movie seems to make a bunch of claims off of very little evidence.

Another Bad Winter

I've been hearing that we're going to have another bad winter. That means shoveling snow, big puffy coats and my car going ice skating. As much as I used to love winter when I was a kid I just can't stand the snow now. Hopefully the weather people are wrong(even though they usually aren't) about the terrible winter this year. Feel free to comment on how you feel about this terrible winter.

Jack Luyckx

The aftermath of 9/11 extremely altered the daily life of American citizens in many aspects. American airports have changed and the security there is very extreme. You cant get through the metal dectector with  a belt on but back then you could get through with a small knife or box cutter. It's amazing how times have changed. I thought that the movie was done extremely well and it really portrayed all aspects of thwe day. From the people in tower 1 to the people in tower 2 who thoujght that they were safe to the parents who wanted to know where their children were, to the fireefighters and policeman that risked their lives. It makes you wonder what the people in the towers were thinking and what the people on thwe planes were thinking?
The United States has forever changed since that dreadful day.
