Detroit is definitely doing better

This article here talks about how Detroit has been improving in ever possible way. the fact Hollywood is coming to Detroit to do movies. new business are opening up downtown is great for the city. the article talks a bit about an area called capitol hill where not many many people used to be be. But now the area is buzzing and doing great. John Varvatos the famous designer is even opening a new flagship store downtown. people see that Detroit is coming back and they are capitalizing and I for one couldn't be happier because that's just what the city needs.

  1. I also believe Detroit is headed for more successful times. There are more thriving businesses which attracts more people to the city, which is a main component to getting the city up and running again. Although there is a drug problem, I would think we would be able to minimize it and make the city safer as a whole, which is also very important. In addition to controlling the drug market and attracting more people, I think if we try to clean up the city and make it more desireable looking, more people would want to come to Detroit.

  2. Detroit has been in a downward spiral for a while now, but i am glad to hear that there is promise and positive reinforcement going into our city. Just reading this blog made me think that there is still hope for our city. Detroit has been in debt for a while now, but I believe from the new stores opening up and HollyWood wanting to do movies in our city will bring our revenue up and pick us up from this downward spiral and make our city prosperous once again.

  3. The downtown part of Detroit is definitely starting to be redeveloped again. It's great to see new stores going in downtown. Many business men are starting to move into buildings downtown and rebuild them to get them up to par. But again it's the inner city that needs to be rebuilt and all of the resources should be allocated that way in order to recreate Detroit and for the city to be what it once was.
